Gerardo Cavaliere
Partner, Co-Founder​
Gerardo is Co-Founder of GC Advisory, where he focuses on M&A advisory transactions, both on the sell-side and buy-side. He has developed solid experience across several core sectors, including aerospace, software and ICT, industrial, and business services. Gerardo holds a degree in Business Administration and Corporate Finance from Bocconi University and, prior to founding GC Advisory, gained experience at leading international investment banks and professional firms, with a focus on debt restructuring, M&A deals, wealth management and family governance.
Giovanni Caroli
Partner, Co-Founder​
Giovanni is Co-Founder of GC Advisory, where he focuses on M&A advisory transactions, both on the sell-side and buy-side, as well as on debt advisory. He has developed solid expertise across several core sectors, including aerospace, technology, healthcare, consumer, industrial, and energy. Prior to founding GC Advisory, Giovanni gained experience at leading consulting firms and professional practices, and earned a Master in Management from Bocconi University and a Master in International Taxation from Leiden University.
Francesco Parisi
Senior Associate
Francesco is a Junior Partner at GC Advisory, where he leads the execution of complex M&A and debt advisory transactions, supporting clients on both sell-side and buy-side processes. He has developed solid cross-sector experience, with specific expertise in Energy, Healthcare, and ICT, advising corporate clients and financial investors on extraordinary transactions. Francesco has been part of the team since the foundation of GC Advisory, contributing to the firm’s growth and building strong relationships with leading private equity funds. He holds a degree in Management from Bocconi University and a Master in Management with a focus on Corporate Finance from IE Business School in Madrid.
Paolo Bizzarri
Director
Paolo is a Senior M&A Director at GC Advisory, with a primary focus on advising private equity funds and corporates on extraordinary transactions. He has over 13 years of experience in M&A, gained in Milan and London at leading international investment banks. Paolo graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration from LUISS University and started his career at Leonardo & Co. in Milan as an M&A intern.
Isabella Giraldo Fernandez
Cross-border M&A Advisor
Isabella is a Cross-border M&A Advisor at GC Advisory, with a focus on transactions involving non-Italian counterparties and domestic buy-side activities. She advises investors and corporates on international extraordinary transactions, supporting both acquisition processes and cross-border deals, with a particular focus on the energy (renewables), healthcare, and IT sectors. She is an international tax lawyer by training and has developed significant experience in international corporate and tax structures, working with both Italian and foreign investors on domestic and cross-border transactions. She has an international profile and solid experience in managing complex transactions in multicultural environments, with an extensive network of relationships with counterparties and advisors at the international level.

Senior analyst​
Matteo is a Senior Analyst at GC Advisory, where he is involved in M&A advisory transactions on both the sell-side and buy-side. He has developed solid experience across several sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, insurance brokerage, consumer, and industrial. Prior to joining GC Advisory in 2025, Matteo gained over three years of experience at M&A and Corporate Finance boutiques. He holds a degree in Management and Corporate Finance from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi and completed an Exchange Program at NHH – Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway.
Paola Castaldo
Senior Analyst
Paola is a Senior Analyst at GC Advisory, where she is involved in M&A advisory transactions, both on the sell-side and buy-side. She has developed solid experience across several sectors, including consumer, food, healthcare, ICT, automotive, industrial, and textile/manufacturing. Prior to joining GC Advisory in 2026, Paola gained three years of experience in the Investment Banking team at Banca Mediolanum. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Management (Finance track) from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Nicolò Serra
M&A Advisory Analyst
Nicolò is an M&A Advisory Analyst at GC Advisory, where he is involved in both sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory transactions. Prior to joining GC Advisory, he gained experience through internships at an M&A and Corporate Finance boutique and a search fund. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and a Master’s degree in Management (major in Corporate Finance) from Bocconi University.

acquired a majority stake in

Agren, an Italian agrisolar (agrivoltaic) project company sponsored by Di Carlo Holding (DCH), has completed a €132 million senior secured bond facility fully subscribed by Pollen Street Capital. The proceeds will finance the development of a 14-plant agrivoltaic portfolio located in Puglia and Campania, with an aggregate installed capacity of around 139 MW, supporting DCH’s build-out of the Agren platform in Italy’s fast-growing agrivoltaics segment

Sell Side M&A Advisory

acquired a majority stake in ​

Else Solutions S.r.l., an Italy-based company specialized in the distribution and production of advanced solutions for nuclear medicine and radiotherapy, has sold a majority stake to 21 Invest through its impact fund 21 Invest Healthcare. The transaction also saw the participation of BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments and Fondo Italiano di Investimento as co-investors, with Banco BPM providing acquisition financing and operational credit lines to support the company’s next growth phase.
